    PLAY THERAPY

Play therapy is an evidence-based method that helps children express feelings, manage emotions, and build coping skills through play. Since kids often struggle to verbalize emotions, play offers a safe, natural way to communicate.

A trained therapist uses games and activities tailored to your child’s needs to reduce stress, heal trauma, and address behavioral issues. This approach promotes emotional growth, resilience, and better relationships at home and school.

At Collective Hearts Counseling, we provide a caring space where your child feels understood, helping them gain confidence and well-being. Play therapy could be the gentle, effective support your child needs.

EYE MOVEMENT DESENSITIZATION AND REPROCESSING (EMDR)

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy offers a powerful, gentle approach to helping children overcome trauma, anxiety, and difficult emotional experiences. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR engages your child’s natural healing processes by using guided eye movements or other bilateral stimulation to safely process distressing memories. This method can quickly reduce symptoms of PTSD, fears, and emotional blocks, allowing your child to build resilience and emotional strength.

At Collective Hearts Counseling, we create a warm, supportive environment where your child feels safe and understood. EMDR sessions are tailored to their unique needs, helping them move past painful experiences without having to re-live them in detail.
